Reduce Heat Soak. Vortech’s Charge Cooler Upgrade Kit is designed to replace the smaller, inefficient factory air-to-air intercooler to produce more power. Larger than stock, the Vortech Ecoboost Intercooler Upgrade Kit will virtually eliminate all heat soak while being able to support up to 1000 horsepower – ideal for future modifications.
Air-to-Air Intercooler. Vortech manufactures their Charge Cooler Intercoolers from aluminum for its ability to rapidly dissipate unwanted heat ensuring lower intake temperatures. This Vortech intercooler features cast aluminum end tanks for strength and is completed in a durable black powder coated finish for long lasting corrosion protection and aggressive good looks.
Piping. The included piping is manufactured from mandrel-bent, large diameter aluminum tubing to eliminate restrictive bends. The piping features CNC-machined fittings that allow for easy installation of a stock or stock-style BPV, as well as the factory TMAP Sensor. The intercooler piping is completed in a black powder coat finish for great show car looks and long lasting corrosion resistance.
Application. This Vortech Charge Cooler Upgrade Kit is specially designed to fit the 2015-2017 EcoBoost Mustang’s equipped with the turbocharged 2.3L Inline 4-cylinder engine that is running the factory or a factory-style By-pass Valve.
