RAM Powergrip clutch kits offer your vehicle the perfect blend of drivability and performance. This dual-purpose clutch kit will provide more clamping pressure over a stock unit and can handle power levels up to 550 hp. All Powergrip kits feature an increased clamp load pressure plate, providing crisp clutch engagement with only a slight increase in pedal effort. The Powergrip clutch disc features a combination dual sided disc with RAM’s premium organic facing material on one side and RAM’s premium 900 series metallic facing material on the other side. This allows the Powergrip unit to deliver optimum street/strip performance. The RAM Powergrip discs also utilize an 8-spring hub to maximize disc strength and durability. Powergrip kits are also a great choice for LS/LT, Coyote, or Hemi engine swaps as well as Tremec Transmission swaps. All kits include the pressure plate, clutch disc, alignment tool, and release bearing where applicable. When only the best will do, choose RAM!
It’s recommended that you add an SR Performance Braided Stainless Steel Hydraulic Clutch Line during your new clutch install. Stock plastic clutch lines can fail during aggressive driving. Stainless steel clutch lines help prevent gear lockout and provide superior clutch pedal feel, even under the toughest conditions.
Technical Note. The 2005+ Mustang uses a concentric slave cylinder instead of a conventional throwout bearing. Therefore this clutch kit will not include a throwout bearing. It is recommended to install a new flywheel with this replacement clutch for the 2005+ Mustang GT’s. Please view our flywheel page for 2005-2009 steel and aluminum flywheel replacements.
