Keep Your Rear Tight. The purpose of the J&M Adjustable Aluminum Panhard Bar is to prevent side-to-side axle movement caused by chassis flex and twist. Allowing your rear to wantonly wiggle at will causes rear steer and impairs your ability to corner. The bar is adjustable, which makes it ideal if your 2005-2014 Mustang is lowered or if you are planning on lowering it. It also helps you straddle the line between stopping enough motion to enable better handling, but not stopping so much movement that you make the ride unbearable. As well as better handling, you experience reduced wheel hop and improved traction.
Construction and Finish. The J&M Adjustable Aluminum Panhard Bar itself is manufactured from one piece of military/aerospace-grade high-strength billet aluminum with forged steel ends, while the spherical rod end bodies are constructed of heat-treated chrome-molybdenum alloy steel. Threads are rolled, as opposed to cut, after the heat treatment process for extra strength and concentricity. Bushing ends, which reduce flexion and add stiffness to the panhead bar, are composed of synthetic elastomer. The bar is finished with a red powder coat for rust and corrosion resistance.
Warranty. The bushing ends are covered by a limited lifetime warranty.
