The Legend Reborn. This all new Ford Racing Boss 302 Engine Block is the perfect starting point for building serious power. Stronger than the original this block has a 4.125″ bore capacity (finished at 3.990″ to 3.995″ rough bore), a 8.2″ deck height (finished at 8.200″ plus .010″ to .015″), splayed 4-bolt mains on 2, 3, 4, main caps and 2-bolt mains on first and fifth main caps, with a maximum recommended stroke 3.400″
Additional Features. Machined to accept the factory roller lifter guides and lifter guide retainer, this Boss 302 block has revised oiling and cooling system passageways and accepts the factory Mustang oil pan when used with a custom oil pickup tube.
Required Upgrades. The Boss 302 Engine Block is specifically designed for use with Ford Racing cylinder heads including M-6049-X306, M-6049-X307, M-6049-C3, M-6049-D3, or M-6049-Z304DA and requires special length 1/2″ head bolts M-6065-BOSS or head studs M-6014-BOSS.
Application. This Ford Racing Boss 302 Engine Block is the perfect foundation for 8.2″ deck projects whether it is a Mustang, kit car, street rod, or resto-mod.
Technical Note. This is a bare block, no internals are included.
