Description
Great for Making Small Powerful Custom Engines. The Ford Performance 427 CI Boss Short Block provides a great foundation for your custom engine. You can add your choice of heads, cam, intake, and oil pan. It features SCAT® forged steel crankshaft and H beam connecting rods with floating pin and ARP® bolts. It also has Mahle® forged aluminum pistons compatible with Z304D, Z304P, N351, and other inline valve Windsor cylinder heads. To complete the build, M-6051-R351 head gaskets are required (not included with the engine block).
Built for Performance. The short block is assembled with high-quality parts including components from trusted vendors like SCAT® and Mahle®. It’s built with all new parts for maximum performance and reliability. Also, the block’s small size is ideal for adding a powerful engine to a vintage muscle car, street rod, Fox Body or Late Model Mustang.
Assembled and Ready. The short block is already assembled and ready for your heads, cam, and timing chain set. Note that the pistons are designed for 20-degree valve angle heads.
