Ram Air Hood. The stock Shelby GT500 hood does a great job flowing air into the engine bay, however, a change in styling can be a good thing and the Cervini’s Type IV Ram Air Hood does just that. This hood is made from aircraft-grade fiberglass and allows for a larger amount of airflow and gives the GT500 a more aggressive look. While the hood does come unpainted, it’s ready to be covered in any custom color out there to match your Shelby.
Change is Good. The Cervini’s Type IV Hood has pre-cut ram air ducts that are 1 ¼-inches tall and 17 1/2 –inches wide, which means that they can allow for a lot more air into the engine as well as allow more room for an aftermarket supercharger. Towards the rear of the hood lie two billet heat extracting louvers to vent out heat and while the stock hood latch and flanges are reused, the Cervini’s also comes with two hood pins for added safety a little more style.
Warranty Information. Cervini’s offers a 90-day warranty on their fiberglass products to cover any manufacturing defects.
Simple Installation. Simple hand tools can be used and should take about an hour to install the hood.
Application. The Cervini’s Type IV Ram Air Hood fits all 2007-2009 Shelby GT500 models.
