But it is understandable that V6 owners would like to increase their power numbers for a little more fun. A good starting point for more power is by replacing the restrictive factory single exhaust system with aFe’s Mach Force-XP 2.5″ Cat-Back. The Mach Force-XP bolts up to the factory Y-pipe to split out into a dual exhaust that will significantly improve your V6 Mustang’s exhaust flow. After installing a Mach Force-XP 2.5″ Cat-Back Exhaust on your S197 V6 Mustang you will see a noticeable improvement in power and performance with dyno proven gains of 12 Horsepower and 16 ft/lbs of Torque at the rear wheels.

AFE’s Mach Force-XP Cat-Back includes a pair of 3.5″ 304 stainless steel double wall exhaust tips that are polished to a brilliant shine. The tips are laser etched with the AFE Power logo for aggressive good looks.
Direct Bolt-On Installation. AFE designed their Cat-Back to be a direct bolt-on upgrade replacement for your V6 Mustang’s factory exhaust system. AFE even includes the required hardware needed to hang the second muffler, something other kits require you to purchase this separately. Installation of this AFE Mach Force-XP Exhaust can be completed in about a two hours with just basic hand tools. Please note that you will need to make minor modifications to the rear bumper cover for installation.
Recommended Appearance Upgrade. The installation of this AFE Mach Force-XP 2.5″ Cat-Back Exhaust will require modifying the factory rear bumper cover for the exhaust tips to exit correctly. AmericanMuscle recommends upgrading to a Shelby GT500 or GT Style Rear Bumper Cover for a cleaner appearance.
